COMPLIANCE & CLIENT REQUIREMENTS
What You Need to Provide Before Your Appointment
Client Identification Requirements
As part of our regulatory obligations, we are required to verify every client’s identity and maintain accurate records. To ensure a smooth appointment, please bring:
- Valid photographic ID: Passport, driving licence, or national identity card (must be unexpired)
- Proof of address: A recent document (dated within 3 months), such as a utility bill or bank statement
If you are unable to provide these documents, please contact us in advance for guidance on alternative forms of identification.
Verification for Business Clients
When acting on behalf of a company or organisation, additional verification is necessary. Beyond confirming your personal identity, we must satisfy ourselves that the company exists and that you have the authority to represent it.
For UK-registered companies, we conduct independent checks. For overseas entities, we may require supporting documents such as:
- Certificate of incorporation or good standing
- Constitutional documents (e.g., memorandum and articles of association)
- Power of attorney
- Chamber of Commerce certificates
- Board resolutions or authorised signatory registers
Our notary will advise you on the specific documentation needed for your case.
